Last night was Sammy’s 21st, my Baby girl is all grown up:)

I obviously only went for the old people part of the evening leaving just before 8:00 pm but I am sure they partied on hard into the night.

in the photo to the right of course she was just a wee lass and the hard nights were more about the hard ones she gave her mother Sally and I.

I still remember the night she was born although it seems like a lifetime ago now.

As a little tribute to Sammy I thought I would see what Pic’s I can find to post here :

Sam!

I felt as I had put a little post up about Andy Sparrow’s Bloodrunners I should also mention his predecessor Orgi by Paul Sample.  Paul sample had a very different style in artistic style and content, but I enjoyed many an hour reading Ogri strips, just as I did reading the magazine “Bike” that they were in.

Paul sample created the character in the 60′s but he gained fame from 1972 onwards when he was in Bike magazine. Orgi was a kind of classic english biker and rode a “Norvin” which was a bike of period made from a Norton feather-bed frame and a Vincent engine.   he had a dog named “kickstart” and an idiot mate named Malcolm who was always doing something stupid.

There are books available of his strips and I believe they have now returned to Bike magazine [You don't very often see the English magazine Bike for sale here in NZ] as a regular feature I also noticed the titles to a motorcycle TV show I watched the other day were done by Paul sample using Ogri.
