What can I say about this movie, It was certainly action packed, and the CGI and action was very well done, sound was great as Michelle said “It was everything you would expect of a Transformers movie”.
But somehow I came out feeling like something was missing.
I normally leave a movie like that and think wow that was fun, I mean I don’t expect it to stimulate my mind or anything but Transformers 2 didn’t do really do much of anything for me.
Perhaps it was just me but I came away thinking , ah well that was okay, can’t put my finger on it but somehow this movie didn’t inspire me, doesnt make me say cant wait for number 3, which of course there will be, so I am afraid its just a one thumb kind horizontal bending slighlty up for me ..
If you know me you know how much if a fan of MotoGP I am and I have always been a fan of Valentino Rossi if he is not the man I am following in particular this year, Hoping for Casey to get his title back this year but I think both of them are outstanding riders.
So what did i think of his book, well it was pretty easy to read, but in my opinion it is really more of a rant about leaving Honda than really about who Valentino is, there is some good insights in there into his life and who he is. I must admit in the first pages i had wondered who this guy thought he was with some pretty egotistical statements but in the end It hasn’t made me like him any less if not really making me feel like I know him more.
So this get a half a thumbs up from me, worth the read, because it is easy to read but not in the must read category in my opinion.
Michelle and I went to see this the other night, Michelle saw it a while ago but really enjoyed it so was happy to take it in a second time so I could enjoy it to.
If you know me you will find it no surprise that i thoroughly enjoyed it, and Michelle said she enjoyed it even more the second time around.
I thought the story was well written and I liked the time paradox that meant they didn’t have to do “due diligence” to all the old movies and had a clean playing field to portray the characters as they and the actors saw fit.
I thought the character of Spock was played well by Zachary Quinto, Although I must confess a few flash backs to Heroes. I also felt Simon Pegg did a great job on Scotty, this was another face I didn’t expect to see in this movie but both these were great casting in my opinion.
For me this gets a big two thumbs up and a highly recommended, go check it out well worth the viewing!
